Bayern Munich is ready to spend significant funds to prevent Liverpool from appointing Xabi Alonso as their head coach.

This season, the 42-year-old Spanish specialist has been performing exceptionally well at Bayer, and at the end of the season, both Bayern and Liverpool will be without coaches, as Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp have already announced their departure.

According to The Mirror, Bayern is prepared to offer Alonso a staggering salary of £20 million (€23.4 million) per year if he agrees to lead the Munich club. This would make Alonso the highest-paid coach in Bundesliga history, allowing him to earn as much as the highest-paid coach in the English Premier League, Pep Guardiola.

It is worth noting that at the moment, Bayer Xabi Alonso is eight points ahead of Bayern in the Bundesliga table, with only 11 matches left in the tournament.
