Bayern Munich has identified three players for potential cuts. Still, only one will leave
Bayern Munich’s financial streamlining may see one of their key players depart in the summer of 2025 as part of efforts to manage the club’s wage bill.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, one of Bayern’s star wingers—Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, or Leroy Sané—will likely leave the club. This decision aligns with the wage reduction strategy outlined by sporting director Max Eberl.
Interestingly, despite these cost-cutting measures, Bayern could still bring in reinforcements on the wing. Plettenberg has named Burnley’s rising star Luca Koleosho as a potential target, owing to his previous work under Burnley’s manager Vincent Kompany.
Reminder: Bayern recently asked Sané to lower his salary demands to stay with the club. While the 28-year-old has expressed his desire to remain in Munich, it’s unclear if he will agree to the club’s terms.
