Bayern knew all along! Dreesen breaks silence on Musiala's medical mystery
Bayern have finally explained why Jamal Musiala kept stepping onto the pitch despite two frightening collapses.
Details: Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has broken his silence on the Jamal Musiala situation, stressing that the club has been aware of the player's condition for some time. According to Dreesen, Bayern are in constant consultation with a neurologist and the player's doctors, who have advised that he should keep playing and that the club should let him.
The 23-year-old Germany international collapsed on the pitch twice in four days, first in the friendly against RB Leipzig and then at Heidenheim, sparking huge concern across the football world. Musiala later revealed on Instagram that he had been diagnosed with a neurological dysfunction causing temporary but treatable seizures, insisting he feels fine, and medical experts believe he can carry on playing.
Despite the alarming scenes, Bayern have already made it clear they will not sign a replacement for their star, putting full faith in the medical advice they are receiving. The champions open their Bundesliga title defence on Friday against RB Leipzig. It's worth noting that Musiala returned from a broken ankle only this year and went on to star for Germany at the 2026 World Cup.
Reminder: Musiala makes important statement after losing consciousness.
