Bayern has found a new centre-back in France

Bayern Munich has revisited the idea of signing a key central defender of Lens, Kevin Danso, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Bavarian superclub had shown interest in Danso last summer, but he chose to play for Lanns in the Champions League and extended his contract. Now, with the idea of signing Radu Dragusin failing, Bayern is reconsidering a transfer for Danso.

Earlier reports also suggested that Bayern was planning to sign Tottenham's central defender Eric Dier.

The 25-year-old Danso has previously played in Germany for Augsburg and Fortuna Dusseldorf. He also spent one season with Southampton. Since the summer of 2021, the Austrian has been playing for Lens, where he has become a key player, helping the team finish second in Ligue 1 last season. In the current season, he has played 22 matches in all competitions.
