Bayern has found a replacement for their leader

The Munich team may sign another player for their midfield this summer. Earlier reports suggested that Bayern's main midfielder, Joshua Kimmich, might soon leave the club.

According to Bild, Munich has already identified a replacement. The source reports Bayern's interest in signing Real Sociedad and Spain national team midfielder Martin Zubimendi. It's noted that the manager, Thomas Tuchel, personally favors this move for the record champions.

This option seems quite plausible as Kimmich's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2025, and there hasn't been any information about an extension yet. We have recently reported that Bayern Munich is not ready to increase the player's salary.

Transfermarkt values Zubimendi at 40 million euros. It's highlighted that the transfer fee wouldn't pose a problem for the German team. The player has participated in 24 matches for Sociedad this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
