Bayer will try to sign one of the top talents in the Bundesliga this summer

Bayer Leverkusen will attempt to sign talented Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier this summer.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the forward is on the shortlist of potential signings for the Pharmaceutics. They see him as a potential replacement for either Viktor Böniface or Adam Głozek if either of them changes clubs.

However, the club understands that signing the player won't be easy. They may need to pay around €30 million for him in the summer transfer window, in addition to salary expenses and signing bonuses.

This season, the 21-year-old Beier has scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 27 matches across all competitions. Tonight, he could make his debut for the German national team in a match against the Netherlands.

Earlier, it was reported that a Premier League representative had contacted the Leverkusen club regarding the transfer of one of the Bundesliga's most prolific forwards.
