The young Senegalese defender will play for Celta Vigo next season on loan from the German club.
Abdoulaye Faye will continue his career with Bayer Leverkusen for several more seasons. The 21-year-old centre-back’s contract was renewed on Monday 3 August.
Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the Senegalese player’s new deal, which now runs until June 2031. However, after extending his contract with the German club, Abdoulaye Faye has been loaned out to Celta Vigo.
The Senegalese defender is joining the Spanish La Liga club for one season. He will therefore continue his development in the Spanish league.
The young Senegalese defender is thus embarking on another loan spell. Last season, he was on loan at FC Lorient in France’s Ligue 1.
