Bayer is prepared to pay the release clause for Stuttgart’s head coach Hoeness
Bayer Leverkusen's head coach Xabi Alonso has been one of the most sought-after options for top clubs since last season, and the "Pharmacists" are preparing for the potential departure of the Spanish manager.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayer's management has already made a firm decision that Stuttgart’s head coach Sebastian Hoeness should replace Alonso if he leaves.
Hoeness has a release clause in his contract with the Bundesliga runners-up, set at 7-8 million euros, which Leverkusen is ready to pay.
In addition to Bayer, English Premier League clubs have shown interest in Hoeness. He has yet to decide where he will continue his career, though he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of staying with Stuttgart for another season.
Reminder: It was previously reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez wants Xabi Alonso to be the one to succeed Carlo Ancelotti.
