Today we reported that Barcelona are planning to clean up their squad and raise some money to optimise their finances, something that centre-back Iñigo Martínez could help the club with. And as it turns out, there is already a demand for the player.

Martinez could remain among the top clubs in La Liga as, according to Relevo, he is interested in Atlético Madrid, who are looking to strengthen their defence. Moreover, the centre-back can be used in a player-to-player deal.

Thus, the 32-year-old Barcelona player can go to the Wanda Metropolitano in exchange for a cash payment and forward João Félix, who now already represents the Blaugrana on loan with Atlético.

Martinez's presence would certainly lower the deal for the Portuguese, and it could be a win-win situation for both clubs.
