Barcelona's star rookie could make his debut as early as tomorrow

Barcelona's head coach, Xavi, has shared his expectations for the Brazilian newcomer to the team, Vitor Roque, whose presentation is scheduled for January 5.

"Will Roque compete with Lewandowski? He will become a competitor for Felix, Yamal, Ferran Torres, Rafinha. Now everyone needs to work even harder", – quoted Xavi by BarcaTimes.

Xavi also revealed that Vitor Roque could make his debut in the match against Las Palmas, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

"His registration is a matter of hours. He will be with us tomorrow."

Recall that Barcelona paid Atletico Paranaense €40 million for Roque last summer, but he is joining the team only now.

In the 25 matches of the completed season in the Brazilian Serie A, Roque scored 12 goals.
