Barcelona's president has reassured fans. The club has the money for the desired purchase

Barcelona's financial situation still leaves much to be desired, but despite this, “blaugrana” have worked on it and found the money for the coveted transfer.
According to Catalan club president Joan Laporta, Barcelona can afford to pay a clausula for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams in the region of €50 million:
"As of now, the money is there. It is the result of the work that has been done over the years to get to this point and we could face signing a contract of this level.
It has been three very intense years in which a lot had to be done, but we have worked very well and we are happy with the work done because the club's finances are recovering and we will soon have good news on that," Laporta said in conversation with Catalunya Radio.
