Barcelona will be forced to play their next away Champions League match without the support of their fans, in addition to paying a fine. Here’s what led to the sanction.
Details: During Barcelona's away match against Monaco, the club's supporters displayed a banner directed at the new head coach, reading “Flick Heil.”
The banner mimicked the style of the Nazi salute associated with Adolf Hitler.
UEFA has officially fined Barcelona €10,000 and prohibited the club from selling tickets for their away match in the 4th round of the Champions League against Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade.
Reminder: If Barcelona wins their next league match against Osasuna, Hansi Flick will tie a remarkable coaching record.
