Barcelona want to replace ter Stegen. The club could sign the ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper

Yesterday, Barcelona triumphed over Villarreal 5-1 in their La Liga Matchday 6 encounter. However, during the match, the Catalan side suffered a significant blow as they lost their captain and first-choice goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen, for the rest of the season. But the club is not planning to let this situation go unresolved.
Details: According to journalist Luis Rojo, Barcelona intends to enter the transfer market to find a replacement for Ter Stegen.
Barcelona has two options for signing a new goalkeeper:
- Sign a free agent goalkeeper.
- Utilize a clause that allows them to acquire a goalkeeper from another La Liga club due to a long-term injury to a key player. Barcelona previously used this clause in February when they signed striker Martin Braithwaite from Leganés.
Meanwhile, Ferran Martinez reports that the primary target is former PSG and Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who is currently without a club.
Reminder: Claudio Bravo, another former Barcelona keeper, has also expressed his willingness to come out of retirement to help the team.
