Barcelona want to extend partnership with Marc Casadó
Barcelona are planning with one eye firmly on the future and are currently exploring the option of extending the contract of their young defender.
Details: According to Diario SPORT, the Catalan club’s hierarchy are keen to renew Marc Casadó’s deal. They intend to complete the extension before the end of the season, as several top clubs are monitoring the 22-year-old defender.
This season, Casadó has become an important figure for Hansi Flick. He has already made 25 appearances across all competitions and has even contributed one assist.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have blocked Barcelona’s attempts to lower the transfer fee for Marcus Rashford. The loan agreement includes a purchase option set at £26 million.
Recall: In his post-match interview following Barcelona’s 2–1 defeat to Girona in Round 24 of La Liga, head coach Hansi Flick delivered a harsh assessment of his team’s performance.
