Fermín López has made his feelings about his future at Barcelona perfectly clear.

Details: The 23-year-old Spanish midfielder has responded to transfer speculation linking him with Manchester United. When asked about a potential move to the Premier League giants, López made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona and is determined to spend the rest of his career at the Catalan club.

“Manchester United links? I don't pay attention to that kind of news. I want to stay here at Barça as long as possible. I hope to end my football career at this club and retire here,” Fermín López stated.

His words come amid growing speculation about his future. Manchester United have previously been linked with the Spanish international, but López's latest comments leave little room for doubt about his personal ambitions. The midfielder is not interested in a change of scenery and dreams of hanging up his boots in Barcelona's colors.

It is worth noting that López is a graduate of Barcelona's La Masia academy. In February 2026, he signed a contract extension with the Catalan giants until June 2031. During the 2025/26 season, the Spaniard scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists for Barcelona.
