Barcelona secured a victory against Barbastro and advanced to the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey

Barcelona defeated Barbastro, representing the fourth-tier Spanish division, in the Round of 32 match of the Copa del Rey, securing a place in the next stage of the tournament.

Barça took the lead in the final 20 minutes of the first half through Fermino Lopez. Early in the second half, Rafinha expanded the favorites' advantage comfortably.

However, the underdog didn't concede defeat and scored a goal 30 minutes before the end of the match. At the 88th minute, Lewandowski seemingly sealed the game. Yet, in injury time, Barbastro converted a penalty, making the final minutes tense for the favorites. Nonetheless, the home team couldn't do more.

The draw for the Round of 16 will take place on Monday, January 8th. The matches for this stage will be played on January 17th.
