Barcelona are focusing not only on new signings during this transfer window but also on generating funds through player sales. One of the club's attacking players has now emerged as a potential departure.
Details: According to The Athletic, Ferran Torres could leave the Catalan giants, with Barcelona prepared to sanction his sale. His current contract runs until the summer of 2027, and with no progress on a new agreement, the club are considering cashing in on the Spanish forward this summer.
Another factor influencing Barcelona's decision is a clause agreed when Torres joined from Manchester City. The Catalan club would be required to pay City an additional bonus if the player's contract were to be extended, which would raise the total value of the transfer to around €73 million.
Reminder: Barcelona president Joan Laporta has made it clear that the club are not considering the sale of another winger and key first-team player despite ongoing activity in the transfer market.
