The renovation of Camp Nou is set to take a long time, and even within the club, there is no certainty about when it will be completed. However, time is running out, as Barcelona must soon finalize their venue for next season’s European competitions.

Details: According to Mundo Deportivo, the deadline for submitting documentation to UEFA regarding the club’s home stadium for the 2025/26 European season is March 31.

While UEFA regulations state that a mid-season stadium change is only allowed after the group stage but before the knockout rounds, the governing body is reportedly willing to make an exception for Barcelona. If Camp Nou is ready for use and all necessary documents are in order, the club could be permitted to return to their home ground during the season.

Reminder: Barcelona’s city council is reluctant to extend the club’s lease of the Olympic Stadium, which may force the Blaugrana to explore alternatives such as Mestalla in Valencia or the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid for their European fixtures.
