Delays in the reconstruction of Camp Nou are causing significant problems for Barcelona, as the club might have to play the second part of the season outside its home region.

Details: According to Marca, Barcelona City Council has refused to grant the "Blaugrana" access to the Olympic Stadium, where they are currently playing, for the Champions League knockout rounds. The decision is attributed to other events the city has committed to hosting at the venue.

Barcelona now needs to find a new stadium. The only option in the Catalan capital is Espanyol’s stadium, but due to ideological differences, it’s unlikely the club will consider this.

Stadiums in Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona do not meet UEFA standards, leaving Barcelona with few options. They are reportedly considering Valencia's Mestalla and Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano as potential venues.

Reminder: Earlier reports indicated that work on Camp Nou’s pitch, which requires up to three months to complete, has yet to begin. The club is unlikely to meet the critical January 31 deadline to have the stadium ready for use.
