Barcelona in talks to sign Rayo Vallecano defender Ratiu
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has requested that the club sign a natural right-back in the upcoming winter transfer window, who would provide competition for Jules Koundé. The club has identified such a player.
Details: According to Marca, Barcelona's sporting director has already initiated negotiations with Rayo Vallecano over the transfer of right-back Andrei Ratiu.
However, the negotiations are proving to be difficult due to a €25 million release clause in Raciu's contract. Barcelona aims to reduce this fee, while the player is reportedly asking Rayo Vallecano to let him move.
This season, Ratiu has played 11 La Liga matches, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist. Over the course of his career, the 26-year-old has also made 18 appearances and scored 1 goal for the Romania national team.
In addition to Barcelona, Serie A side Napoli has also shown interest in Ratiu.
Reminder: Two days ago, it was reported that Barcelona is considering signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
