Barcelona identifies Premier League striker as an alternative to Gyökeres
Barcelona has reportedly shortlisted Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak as an alternative to Viktor Gyökeres.
The Blaugrana are expected to pursue a new forward in the next 1–2 years, with Robert Lewandowski nearing the end of his playing career. As there is currently no clear successor within the squad, an external signing seems almost inevitable.
Details: Gyökeres has been heavily linked with Barcelona in recent weeks and is believed to be the club’s primary target. However, he is not the only option under consideration.
According to Estadiodeportivo, Isak, Gyökeres’ Swedish international teammate, is also on the club’s shortlist.
There is growing speculation that Isak may seek a move away from Newcastle next summer, and Barcelona could look to capitalize on the situation. However, any move will depend on the club’s financial capacity.
Reminder: Alexander Isak has long been the subject of transfer rumors, with recent reports also linking him to Arsenal.
