Barcelona has set their sights on Liverpool's young midfielder
Barcelona continues to explore options for strengthening their squad in this transfer window, while also focusing on future prospects.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan club has now set their sights on Liverpool's young talent Stefan Bajčetić. Barcelona is offering €4 million for the loan of the 19-year-old midfielder, though the deal will not include an option to buy. A few days ago, Liverpool also received a loan offer from Salzburg. Now, Barcelona is trying to sign the player following Bernal's injury.
Bajčetić, a product of Celta's academy, joined Liverpool in December 2020. In the summer of 2022, he traveled with the first team for preseason training. He made his Premier League debut on August 27, 2022, in a match against Bournemouth.
On December 26, 2022, Bajčetić scored his first professional goal during an English Championship match against Aston Villa, becoming the third-youngest goalscorer in Liverpool's Premier League history.
Additionally, Barcelona has entered the race for Bayer Leverkusen's leading defender, Jonathan Tah. The Catalan club has initiated talks with the player's representatives and made contact with Bayer.
