Barcelona has opened talks with Bayer's leading defender
Barcelona has entered the race for Bayer Leverkusen's key defender Jonathan Tah.
According to German sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Barcelona has started negotiations with the player's representatives and has made contact with Bayer regarding a possible deal before the summer transfer window closes.
Barça is currently willing to pay a total of €20 million for the player. However, the "Blaugranas" have not yet made a formal offer to Leverkusen.
Earlier reports indicated that the "Pharmacists" center-back wants to leave the club. The German defender has made it clear to the management that he will not extend his contract and wants to leave either this summer or next, as a free agent.
Bayer Leverkusen is ready to let Jonathan go this summer, but wants to receive €30 million for him.
