Barcelona could sign Olympic champion if they fail to get Cancelo back

Securing a new right-back remains one of Barcelona's top priorities for the current transfer window.
Barcelona's primary target is the return of João Cancelo, who is not in Pep Guardiola's plans at Manchester City and spent last season on loan with the Catalan club. However, if the return of the Portuguese defender fails, Barcelona has an alternative option.
According to Diario Sport, the Catalans could sign Almería's right-back Marc Pubill as a backup plan.
This summer, Pubill was close to joining Atalanta for €15 million, but the transfer fell through at the last moment. The player is highly motivated by the prospect of a move to Barcelona and is eagerly awaiting an offer from the Blaugrana.
The 21-year-old right-back recently became an Olympic champion with the Spanish national team.
Last season, Pubill played 23 matches for Almería in La Liga, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists.
