Barcelona are keeping tabs on Rashford, but another player is the priority

Barcelona are edging closer to a decision on Marcus Rashford as their pursuit of Luis Díaz heats up this summer. The English forward enjoyed a solid half-season at Aston Villa and made quite an impression.
Against this backdrop, Barcelona have ramped up their interest, viewing the England international as a potential reinforcement. According to Mundo Deportivo, Rashford himself is reportedly willing to accept a significant pay cut—up to 50% off his current £315,000-a-week salary.
Nevertheless, Rashford remains a secondary option on Barça's shortlist. Luis Díaz of Liverpool is still the top priority, and only if that move falls through will the Catalans turn their attention to the Red Devils' winger. However, the club's financial constraints remain in place—the deal will only happen if someone from the current squad is sold, sticking to their 'one in, one out' transfer policy.
