Banyana Banyana bounce back to beats Japan 1-0 in their second friendly international match
Banyana Banyana bounced back today from a 5-0 drubbing by Japan to win by 1-0 in Osaka.
South Africa's Banyana are in Asian as part of their preparation for next month's Women Africa Cup of Nations competition in Morocco and managed to earn a victory over the home side.
Ahead of the game Banyana coach, Desiree Ellis, made three changes to his starting line up from Saturday's game.
Goalkeeper Kaylin Swart came in for Andile Dlamini with Bongeka Gamede and Thembi Kgatlana coming in Nonhalnhla Mthandi and Gabriela Moodaly-Salgado, respectively.
Japan also made numerous changes to their side which thumped Banyana on Saturday and it proved less of a challenge to the visitors, who scored via a Linda Motlhalo header.
Banyana, who are ranked 57th on the World rankings, should be proud of having a positive result against 5th placed nation in Japan.
