Bangladesh lost their first Super 6 match at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Are there any chances of reaching the semi-finals?
On Monday, 26 January, Bangladesh played their first Super 6 match at the Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup against England.
Details: It was Bangladesh who started the match, and after 38.1 overs they lost all ten wickets. During this period, they scored 136 runs. England then came into the game and managed to chase down the target fairly quickly.
In 24.1 overs, England U19 scored 137 runs, losing only three wickets, so the match was finished early. The game ended with England’s victory by seven wickets.
Bangladesh have one point after three matches and no longer have any chance of reaching the play-offs. They are three points behind India. Bangladesh have only one match left, which will be their final game at the Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Recall: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) decided not to appeal the decision of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
