Bandile Shandu: We aim to make sure we keep our fans smiling by winning all if not most trophies for Orlando Pirates

Bandile Shandu says Orlando Pirates fans are going to wear smiles throughout this season as they plan to keep winning trophies for them.

Shandu was speaking to his club’s TV station, OP TV, after their 2-0 win over Carling All Stars in Durban and said they are planning not to stop winning trophies in the domestic front.

“We wanna keep them smiling, we wanna keep them happy and this is for them,” he said.

“It was very important to win this cup because we were gonna be the first team to win it.”

The former Maritzburg United right-back revealed that it’s their mandate to make a sweep of every trophy on offer.

“So, it was very important for us; it was the mandate, and it just shows that as a team, as a club, we just wanna win everything that’s on the plate for us,” he said.

“The cups that we’ve won is a first step closer to that.

“Truly grateful for the Orlando Pirates fans. They are very, very important to us. We cherish them, we grateful for them and this one is for them.”

Pirates won the MTN8 and the Carling Knockout Cup so far this season. They go into the festive recess atop of the Betway Premiership standings and it is no secret that they are the team to beat presently in local football. They have the PSL trophy and the Nedbank Cup to aim for now as those are the two trophies remaining on offer in the PSL.
