Bafana Bafana U20 squad defeats Angola 2-0 to reach COSAFA 2025 final

The first semifinal match of the COSAFA U20 Cup took place today.

Details: The boys' COSAFA Cup semifinal has just concluded in Windhoek at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium.

In the battle for a place in the final, South Africa and Angola went head-to-head.

The scoring was opened in the 25th minute when Angola's Climento Gonçalves inadvertently put the ball into his own net.

Then, in the 68th minute, Bafana Bafana midfielder Steve Mendes doubled the lead, sealing the victory.

South Africa will now face the winner of the Malawi-Zambia clash, which is set to take place later today.

The grand final will be held this Sunday at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium.
