Percy Tau, the South African forward at Al Ahly, has been absent from the club’s recent training session, sparking rumors about his imminent departure. Tau, who joined Al Ahly in 2021 from Brighton, is reportedly in the final stages of a transfer to Qatar SC. The 30-year-old's contract with the Cairo giants runs until June 2025, but indications suggest that Al Ahly is keen to part ways with him this January.

Tau's transfer to Qatar SC, a squad apparently in talks with the player, may be made possible by the decision to end his contract. While some rumors linked him to Zamalek, it seems the Qatari club is the most likely destination, especially with a potential deal already in progress.
