Al Ahly Preparing for Significant Squad Changes During the Winter Transfer Window
Al Ahly is anticipated to make significant roster changes during the current winter transfer window, according media reports by Ahmed Shobair on his show "Haris Al Ahly" that aired on the club's official channel.
According to Shobair, a foreign player is on the verge of departing the squad after getting a compelling offer; the transaction is anticipated to be concluded in the next few hours. Additionally, Rida Slim, who is currently injured, will have his name removed from the squad temporarily until he recovers. The third player expected to leave is a former overseas Egyptian professional whose chances of staying with the team have become slim.

Regarding Akram Tawfik’s potential move to Qatari club Al-Shamal, Shobair explained that a meeting will be held soon to finalize the situation, with the likelihood of him remaining at Al Ahly being higher.

Shobair also denied speculations that the board was planning to fire Swiss head coach Marcel Koller because of his recent failures. He underlined that the club has a long-term strategy in place and that Koller has the management's complete support and confidence.

It's important to note that Al Ahly has lost both of its recent games, falling 1-0 to Algeria's Chabab Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League and drew 0-0 with Enppi in the Egyptian Premier League.
