Bafana Bafana head of analysis Sinesipho Mali announces his departure from Betway Premiership side Chippa United after a poor start to the season

Sinesipho Mali is officially no longer Sporting Director at Betway Premiership side, Chippa United.

Mali and United parted ways late this week with speculation gathering speed as the week went by.

Chippa are yet to make any official announcement on Mali, but the former Sekhukhune United head of analysis and scouting official, has since released a statement on his departure from the Gqeberha-based club.

Mali serves as the performance and analysis for Hugo Broos at Bafana and he is also in camp with the side while preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations which starts next week.

“I’d like to thank every one of you guys for the amazing time together, lessons and memories created, your professionalism, respect towards me, and trust in my leadership,” Mali said.

“I’ll always cherish the time together, and you’ll forever remain special in my heart; I’ve officially left the club, but my support remains with you in spirit. Please continue to focus, work hard, and let’s do all we can to save this amazing club from relegation. Do it for the Eastern Cape and your careers, you’ll always have my support. Love always, guys, see you soon.”

While Mali served the Chippa as the sporting director, the club has had Sinethemba Badela, Luc Eymael, Musa Nyatama and presently have Vusumuzi Vilakazi at the helm.

The team is on the bottom of the PSL standings with nine points.
