Bafana Bafana face South African legend in Benni McCarthy's Kenya for the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers

Bafana Bafana Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers will see them face Kenya in Group D.

Today's draw in Egypt was for the African football premier tournament o be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

It will be held next June with ongoing stadium inspections going on.

For some time there were fears that the three countries could still host the biennial spectacle but Caf stuck to their guns that they will not moved it from the three neighbouring countries.

South Africa's legend Benni McCarthy is in charge of the Kenyan National Football Team and expectation is that he will guide the Harambee Stars to a decent showing as hosts next year.

He remains the country's all time leading goal scorer with 32 goals and facing them as an opposing coach would be interesting.

The Group D teams are completed by Eritrea and Guinea.
