Bafana Bafana defender Ime Okon on his maiden game under Hugo Broos: I was pleased with my performance and I hope to do more in the future
Ime Okon was equally pleased with how he performed for Bafana Bafana in his maiden match under Hugo Broos.
The Hannover 96 defender said it was just a lapse of concentration which saw them concede against Panama but overall it was a good showing.
"Yeah, it was good. I think we played very well – just lapse of concentration from us – but besides that, we dominated the whole game. We just need to keep working hard, and we'll see what the future holds," said Okon.
"I think we've now seen how they play, so I think our preparation towards the next game will be much better so we are hoping to get the win the next time."
Tomorrow night Bafana face Panama again at Cape Town International Stadium and Okon is expected to make way for Nkosinathi Sibisi as Broos indicated he rested his regulars in the first game.
Players such as Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Bongokuhle Hlonwane are expected to make an appearance given that they were rested for the Durban tie and are ready for the Cape Town outing.
