Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos on Mbekezeli Mbokazi's great form: He remains a player with great potential but he must just control his temper
Mbekezeli Mbokazi is near a complete player but only one blemish to his potential great football career ahead of him.
If he can sort this one part of his personality then he will reach his full potential.
And that’s his temper.
National team coach Hugo Broos believes that’s what Mbokazi needs to work to be a complete player.
The Chicago Fire central defender displayed his quality last night at a sold out Cape Town Stadium in Bafana Bafana’s 2-1 loss to Panama, scoring a screamer for the home side.
“If you talk about Mbokazi I think everybody saw again today he’s a very good defender,” said Broos.
“The only thing with Mboki and he’s young is that sometimes he loses temper and he has to be careful with that.
“But I like more someone with the will to fight and has that mentality than a soft guy. So, he’s a defender I will talk to him about that.
“It’s something that he does when he starts to be nervous and then he loses his temper. But we will talk to him and he will learn quickly.”
