Bad news for Liverpool: Joe Gomez forced off against West Ham

However, the evening wasn’t entirely positive for Arne Slot’s side. Defender Joe Gomez was forced off due to injury in the 37th minute, with youngster Jarell Quansah coming on to replace him.

This season, the 27-year-old Gomez has made 16 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, featuring nine times in the Premier League without registering any goals or assists.
