Australian football star Lewis’ car involved in an unusual accident
A casual lunch with friends nearly turned into a disaster for Australian football legend Jordan Lewis. Fortunately, a twist of fate prevented a tragedy.
Details: According to Daily Mail, the four-time AFL champion was dining with friends in Melbourne on Friday when his parked car was struck by teenagers driving a stolen vehicle.
The young drivers lost control, crashing into a parked Holden Barina before their vehicle flipped over and slammed into Lewis’ car.
Local police have already arrested an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old, charging them with vehicle theft. Both suspects have officially been indicted.
Reminder: Lewis was selected by Hawthorn with the 7th pick in the 2004 national draft and played a key midfield role in their premiership victories in 2008, 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2017, he transferred to Melbourne, where he played until retiring in 2019. Since then, he has worked in the media.
