Atlético Madrid is considering the transfer of Al-Ittihad and France defensive midfielder

Atlético Madrid continues to seek reinforcements for their midfield. They have now turned their attention to the French defensive midfielder from Al-Ittihad, N'Golo Kanté.

According to Relevo, the "Colchoneros" have reached out to the player's camp, and Kanté himself is open to joining Diego Simeone's squad. Atlético had been negotiating with Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, but it seems likely that the Madrid club will not pursue further talks with "Los Che."

Kanté's salary is the main obstacle to the transfer, but if Al-Ittihad is willing to let him go, Atlético will negotiate for a significantly lower fee.

It’s worth noting that Argentine national team striker Julián Álvarez has officially transferred from Manchester City to Atlético. The Madrid club paid €75 million for Álvarez, with an additional €20 million in potential bonuses for the English champions.
