Atletico Madrid have ramped up negotiations for South Korean midfielder Kang-in Lee, who has long been on the club's radar.
Details: According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Kang-in Lee himself has expressed his desire to leave the French club, opening the door for Atletico to sign him as a replacement for Giacomo Raspadori.
Reports indicate that initial contacts have already taken place: Atletico director Mateu Alemany, who knows Lee well from his time at Valencia, traveled to Paris last week for talks. The club is considering both a loan and a permanent transfer, hoping to take advantage of a favorable market situation to acquire the talented midfielder.
Previously, a move for Lee was off the table due to his high transfer value and PSG's reluctance to let him go, but the dynamics have now changed. The midfielder is seeing limited playing time in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, prompting him to look for a new club and simultaneously lowering PSG's financial demands.
It is worth noting that Transfermarkt values the Korean at €25 million.
Reminder: Giuliano Simeone has extended his contract with Atletico Madrid.
