Atletico reject Chelsea's first offer for Felix
After the collapse of the deal to acquire Samu Omorodion from Atlético Madrid, Chelsea is now attempting to sign another forward from the Madrid club – João Félix. However, the negotiations are proving to be challenging.
According to Rubén Uría, Atlético Madrid has rejected Chelsea's initial offer of €45 million for the Portuguese forward. The Madrid club is reportedly holding out for at least €60 million.
If Chelsea and Atlético fail to reach an agreement on Félix's transfer, it could jeopardize the deal for Conor Gallagher's move to the Spanish club. Gallagher had already flown to Spain and even completed his medical, but he is now back in London, training individually.
Barcelona is also keeping a close eye on the situation. The Catalan club, where Félix played on loan last season, has not ruled out the possibility of re-signing the Portuguese player on another loan deal.
Félix previously played for Chelsea on loan during the 2022/23 season, where he scored four goals in 20 appearances.
