Yesterday’s clash between Santa Fe and Atlético Nacional was marred by a terrifying incident.
Details: In the 11th minute of the match, Atlético Nacional’s Andrés Felipe Román suddenly collapsed on the pitch without any apparent reason and remained unconscious for several minutes.
Fortunately, thanks to the lightning-fast response of the medical team, the player was revived—he even managed to leave the field on his own two feet. Still, at that moment, panic and fear reached their peak among everyone present.
The 29-year-old Andrés was already known to have heart issues, which were first discovered three years ago during a medical examination with Boca Juniors. At that time, the transfer fell through, but the player continued his career despite doctors’ concerns.
