Atlético Madrid are on the brink of a blockbuster signing, having reached a full agreement for the transfer of Wolverhampton midfielder João Gomes.

The 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder has already given his full consent to move to Spain. Gomes will sign a long-term, five-year deal with the Madrid side, keeping him at the club until June 2031. The financial terms are as follows: a guaranteed salary of €4.5 million per year, plus an additional €500,000 in bonuses, bringing his total annual earnings to a solid €5 million per season.
The process of preparing paperwork and initiating payment procedures will kick off immediately, with the aim of making the deal official in the coming days.
