Atlético coach reveals condition of star player and whether he will feature in the return leg

In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final, Atlético Madrid drew 1:1 with Arsenal, but there was an unwelcome setback for Los Colchoneros.

Details: Late in the second half, Julián Álvarez picked up an injury and was forced to leave the pitch. After the match, head coach Diego Simeone was asked about the situation. It appears the news is not as bad as first feared.

Quote: "Julián Álvarez will definitely be available for the return leg," the Argentine manager stated.

We previously reported that the draw in Madrid allowed Arsenal to match their longest unbeaten run in the history of the European Cup/Champions League. The Gunners are now on a streak of 13 consecutive matches without defeat.

Reminder: Julián Álvarez scored in this match and managed to rewrite Atlético Madrid’s European history books.
