Villarreal central midfielder Alex Baena has long been on the radar of Europe's top clubs, and this summer he is finally set to leave his team.
Details: According to El Chiringuito, Atletico Madrid have reached a final agreement for Baena's transfer.
In the upcoming summer transfer window, Los Colchoneros will pay €55 million for the 23-year-old Spain international.
The deal is expected to be completed before the start of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Baena has delivered an impressive 6 goals and 10 assists in 31 La Liga appearances this season.
Reminder: After 11 years at Atletico, Angel Correa is close to joining Mexican side Tigres.
