Atletico agree contract with Al Hilal's Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo
Atletico Madrid are on the verge of completely revamping their attacking line this transfer window.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the "Colchoneros" have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo. The player is ready to swap Saudi Arabia for La Liga.
Negotiations with Al Hilal are currently at an advanced stage. The deal on the table is a loan for the 22-year-old forward until the end of the season with an option to buy. The potential transfer fee is estimated at €40 million.
Atletico head coach Diego Simeone wants Marcos Leonardo in the squad alongside Ademola Lookman, who, as previously reported, is also very close to joining Atletico.
It's worth noting that this season the Brazilian has featured in 24 matches for the Saudi club, scoring 14 goals and providing 1 assist. Transfermarkt currently values the forward at €20 million.
Reminder: Atletico are preparing a surprise move by signing Leon Goretzka.
