Aston Villa midfielder Rodgers named UEFA Champions League Player of the Week

UEFA has announced the best player of the week in the Champions League.

Details: Following the final round of the group stage, Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rodgers was recognized as the best player. He scored a hat-trick in a 4-2 victory over Celtic.

Moreover, Rodgers scored two goals against Celtic within the first five minutes of the match, becoming the first player in UEFA Champions League history to achieve this feat.

Inter forward Lautaro Martínez finished second in the voting, while Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé came in third.
