Recently, Aston Villa has been grappling with financial fair play issues, and the Villans are looking to resolve them using a now-familiar approach.

Details: According to The Athletic, the Birmingham-based club is considering selling its women's team in order to balance losses under profitability and sustainability rules.

Chelsea was the first to go down this path. Although the deal has yet to be approved by the Premier League, and UEFA does not recognize such transactions at all, Premier League clubs are still considering this method to attract revenue.

Reminder: Over the past two years, Aston Villa has incurred losses totaling £195 million, putting the club at risk of breaching the regulations. At the same time, both of the aforementioned clubs have faced financial fair play issues with UEFA, but they are currently negotiating with European football's governing body to mitigate the penalties.
