Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen agree on Buendía loan deal

Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, the reigning German champions have reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the loan of the 28-year-old Argentine. Buendía will join Bayer until the end of the season, with the deal including an option to buy. The transfer is now pending the player’s medical examination.

Reminder: Bayer views Buendía as a replacement for Martin Terrier, who will miss the remainder of the season due to an Achilles tendon injury. Previously, it was reported that Buendía had agreed to extend his contract with Aston Villa, which runs until the summer of 2026, by an additional year.
