Arturo Vidal expressed condolences for the death of Colo-Colo fans during the match against Fortaleza

The Colo-Colo star Arturo Vidal did not remain indifferent to the tragedy that occurred during the match between his club and the Brazilian Fortaleza in the Copa Libertadores. The footballer posted on his Instagram page, expressing condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased fans.
“My condolences to the families and friends of the fans who passed away today. I know they will continue to inspire us from the heavens,” Vidal wrote.
It should be noted that the tragedy occurred due to a crush in the stands, as some fans tried to enter the match without tickets. Unable to withstand the pressure of the crowd, a metal barrier collapsed, crushing two Colo-Colo fans, an 18-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy.
An official statement of condolences was also made on Instagram by Colo-Colo, which announced the cancellation of the Arengazo event, scheduled for April 11, as a sign of mourning.
Additionally, the match between Colo-Colo and Fortaleza was not completed — it was prematurely stopped in the 72nd minute with the score at 0-0.
