Details: According to the reputable outlet The Telegraph, Arsenal have set their sights on 20-year-old Elche and Spain U21 midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta reportedly sees Mendoza as a high-quality, long-term solution for the midfield, believing that the young Spaniard’s age and outstanding skill set give him every chance to develop into a world-class player.

Mendoza’s contract with Elche includes a clear release clause of €20 million. However, Arsenal aren’t the only club chasing the talented midfielder—Real Madrid are also said to be highly impressed with the 20-year-old’s performances.
Mendoza’s deal with Elche runs until 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €9 million.
This season, Mendoza has made 10 appearances for Elche, scoring 2 goals.
